Greene Resources, Inc has partnered with SAS Institute in Cary, NC, to hire qualified and talented entry-level candidates for an exciting 12-week training program!  The elite SAS Consulting Academy is a paid program that will offer recent graduates the opportunity to develop both software programming and consultative skills.  These skills will prepare these candidates for software development, implementation and delivery of customer consulting engagements.  Upon successful completion of this academy you may have the opportunity to provide consulting services for our client including software development and implementation at customer sites.  You may also assist the sales team with technical sales activities to maximize revenue opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.  The training session will start in the summer of 2010.  We are targeting December 2009 and May 2010 Computer Science students receiving their Undergrad or Graduate degrees.

Requirements:

·          Bachelor's Degree (or within one semester to graduation) in Computer Science, quantitative or business related field.

·          Must have academic experience in C, Java or programming in a third or fourth generation language.

·          Current (within the last 3 years) work or academic experience with (n) tiered architecture and database concepts, preferably in technology areas such as business application development, client / server, database management systems, data warehousing, or web enablement.

·          Work or academic experience with at least one operating system.

·          Must be able to travel 75% as business needs dictate upon graduation of the Training Academy.

·          Excellent written and oral communication, analytical problem solving and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate with users with various technical backgrounds.

·          Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Preferences:

·          Knowledge of software development life cycles.

·          Public speaking experience such as presenting papers or classroom teaching.

·          Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·          Experience programming with the SAS language.

Additional Information:

·          Upon graduation, if selected, candidates must be open to possible relocation to California.  Positions after graduation will be in either Cary, NC or Irvine, CA – but could also be in other areas of the US.
